Good news for music fans who don't mind drinking beer outside on a crisp autumn afternoon: Pitchfork is throwing a one-day festival dedicated to craft beer and excellent indie bands. They're calling it OctFest (presumably a play on "Octoberfest," a poorly-defined period of encouraged daydrinking that now spans from Labor Day to Thanksgiving), and are promising a stacked bill including Ohio indie rock heroes Guided By Voices and soul phenom Charles Bradley. What's more, Okkervil River, the Sadies, Kilo Kish, and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart will also perform. [ more › ]
