
In the summer of 1997, I was an avid gamer of the golden classics of the real-time strategy (RTS) and immersive 3D/sandbox role-playing gamesthat defined those genres. After wasting many hours gaming, I wanted to do something more constructive. I had dreams of building my own video games.
