India has witnessed an increasing trend in production of Hardware and Software from 2000-01 to 2015-16. We have seen a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.29% and 22.98% in production of Hardware and Software respectively during 2000-01 to 2015-16.
We have seen an annual decline of -46.07% in Hardware production from Rs. 190366 crore during 2014-15 to Rs. 102673 crore during 2015-16. There was an annual growth of 9.93% in Hardware production during 2014-15 over 2013-14 from Rs. 173176 crore. There was an annual growth of 5.31% in Hardware production from Rs. 31100 crore during 2000-01 to Rs. 32750 crore during 2001-02.
We have seen an annual growth of 15.22% in Software production from Rs. 729432 crore during 2014-15 to Rs. 840455 crore during 2015-16. There was an annual growth of 13.61% in Software production during 2014-15 over 2013-14 from Rs. 642076 crore. There was an annual growth of 25.49% in Hardware production from Rs. 37750 crore during 2000-01 to Rs. 47374 crore during 2001-02.
A maximum annual growth of 27.89% was recorded in 2007-08 for Hardware production during the period under consideration. A maximum annual growth of 527.2% was recorded in 2004-05 for Software production during the period under consideration.
