State/UT-wise Percentage of Children (12-23 months age) received 3 doses of Polio Vaccine as per NFHS-4




According to NFHS-4 report, 72.8% Children of 12-23 months age have been received 3 doses of Polio Vaccine in India. Whereas according to NFHS-3 report, 78.2% Children of 12-23 months age had been received 3 doses of Polio Vaccine in India. According to NFHS-4 report, 72.6% and 73.4% Children of 12-23 months age have been received 3 doses of Polio Vaccine in rural areas of India and urban areas of India respectively.

According to NFHS-4, there are 22 States/UTs which seen above the All India (72.8%) percentage of Children of 12-23 months age have been received 3 doses of Polio Vaccine. As per NFHS-4, Puducherry has the highest 95.4% of Children of 12-23 months age have been received 3 doses of Polio Vaccine followed by Punjab, Goa, Lakshadweep, Kerala, West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chattisgarh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Manipur, Telangana, Haryana, Karnataka, Daman and Diu, Jharkhand and Bihar with 93.7%, 92.9%, 90.5%, 88.5%, 87.9%, 87.7%, 83.9%, 83.8%, 82.8%, 82.4%, 82.3%, 81.7%, 79.5%, 77.4%, 76.6%, 75.4%, 75.3%, 74.6%, 74.4%, 73.8% and 72.9% respectively. According to NFHS-3, Himachal Pradesh had the highest 88.6% of Children of 12-23 months age have been received 3 doses of Polio Vaccine.

According to NFHS-4, there are 14 States/UTs which seen below the All India (72.8%) percentage of Children of 12-23 months age have been received 3 doses of Polio Vaccine. As per NFHS-4, Nagaland has the lowest 52.5% of Children of 12-23 months age have been received 3 doses of Polio Vaccine followed by Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Mizoram, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya and Andhra Pradesh with 53.7%, 56%, 58.1%, 61.7%, 62.3%, 63.6%, 65.4%, 67%, 68%, 68.3%, 70.1%, 71% and 72.3% respectively. According to NFHS-3, Nagaland had the lowest 46.2% of Children of 12-23 months age have been received 3 doses of Polio Vaccine.
