There were various Chemical products namely Azo Dyes, Acid Direct Dyes (other than Azo), Basic Dyes, Disperse Dyes, Fast Colour Bases, Oil Soluble (Solvent Dyes), Optical Whitening Agents, Organic Pigment, Pigment Emulsion, Reactive Dyes, Sulphur Dyes (Sulphur Black), Vat Dyes, Solubilised Vat Dyes, Food Colours, Napthols, Other Dyes and Inorganic Pigments exported from India during 2009-10 to 2016-17 under Dyes & Dyestuff group. The top 5 products in terms of having highest export during 2016-17 under ‘Dyes & Dyestuff’ group of Major Chemicals are Reactive Dyes, Pigment Emulsion, Azo Dyes, Food Colours and Inorganic Pigments.
Maximum export of 128417 metric tonne was recorded in 2016-17 in export of ‘Reactive Dyes’ during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 13.4% during 2016-17 in export of ‘Reactive Dyes’ from 113224 metric tonne during 2015-16. Maximum export of 88980 metric tonne was recorded in 2016-17 in export of ‘Pigment Emulsion’ during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 9.1% during 2016-17 in export of ‘Pigment Emulsion’ from 81536 metric tonne during 2015-16.
Maximum export of 60390 metric tonne was recorded in 2016-17 in export of ‘Azo Dyes’ during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 9.2% during 2016-17 in export of ‘Azo Dyes’ from 55327 metric tonne during 2015-16. Maximum export of 28359 metric tonne was recorded in 2016-17 in export of ‘Food Colours’ during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 4.6% during 2016-17 in export of ‘Food Colours’ from 27101 metric tonne during 2015-16.
Maximum export of 27236 metric tonne was recorded in 2016-17 in export of ‘Inorganic Pigments’ during the period from 2009-10 to 2016-17. We have observed an annual growth of 5.5% during 2016-17 in export of ‘Inorganic Pigments’ from 25826 metric tonne during 2015-16.
