State/UT-wise healthcare accessibility for the people by Sub Centre as on 31st March 2017




We assume that the States/UTs with lower average radial distance coverage by a Sub Centre may have better healthcare accessibility for the people than the States/UTs with higher distance of average radial coverage by a Sub Centre.

Five States/UTs namely Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Punjab, Daman & Diu and Puducherry which covered lowest average Radial distance by a Sub Centre as on 31st March 2017. A Sub Centre covered an average radial distance of 0.29, 0.43, 0.48, 0.87 and 0.92 Kms. in Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Punjab, Daman & Diu and Puducherry respectively as on 31st March 2017. In Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Punjab, Daman & Diu and Puducherry; a Sub Centre covered an average rural area of 0.26, 0.58, 0.71, 2.4 and 2.68 Sq. Kms. respectively as on 31st March 2017.

The 5 States/UTs namely Jammu & Kashmir, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya and Nagaland which covered highest average Radial distance by a Sub Centre as on 31st March 2017. In Jammu & Kashmir, a Sub Centre covered an average radial distance of 4.87 Kms. with average rural area of 74.48 Sq. Kms. as on 31-03-2017. In Mizoram, a Sub Centre covered an average radial distance of 4.26 Kms. with average rural area of 56.98 Sq. Kms. as on 31-03-2017. In Manipur, a Sub Centre covered an average radial distance of 4.09 Kms. with average rural area of 52.61 Sq. Kms. as on 31-03-2017. A Sub Centre covered an average radial distance of 4.02 Kms. and average rural area of 50.79 Sq. Kms. in Meghalaya as on 31st March 2017. A Sub Centre covered an average radial distance of 3.62 Kms. and average rural area of 41.25 Sq. Kms. in Nagaland as on 31st March 2017.
