The length of total Natural Gas Pipelines was 10246 Kms in India as on 31st March 2010. It increased by 5.13% to reach 10772 Kms as on 31-03-2011 compared to as on 31-03-2010. We have observed a growth of 2.62% in length of total Natural Gas Pipelines in India as on 31-03-2016 compared to as on 31-03-2015 from 17228.707 Kms. Length of total Natural Gas Pipelines was 17752.697 Kms as on 31st March 2017, registered a growth of 0.41% as against 17680.397 Kms as on 31st March 2016.
There are two types of Pipelines reported for Natural Gas during 2010 to 2017; viz. (i) Onshore and (ii) Offshore. The length of Onshore Natural Gas Pipelines was 9283 Kms in India as on 31st March 2010. It increased by 5.67% to reach 9809 Kms as on 31-03-2011 compared to as on 31-03-2010. We have observed a growth of 12.81% in length of Onshore Natural Gas Pipelines in India as on 31-03-2016 compared to as on 31-03-2015 from 16241.707 Kms. Length of Onshore Natural Gas Pipelines was 16765.697 Kms as on 31st March 2017, registered a growth of 0.43% as against 16693.397 Kms as on 31st March 2016.
The length of Offshore Natural Gas Pipelines was 963 Kms in India from as on 31st March 2010 to as on 31st March 2012. The length of Offshore Natural Gas Pipelines was 987 Kms in India from as on 31st March 2013 to as on 31st March 2017.
