Digital transactions in India by various digital mode from January-2017 to June-2017




There were 12688.71 lakhs Digital transactions seen in India during January-2017. It has decreased by -12.31% in February-2017 to 11126.87 lakhs over January-2017. Monthly decline of -2.94% has been seen in Digital transactions in India from 12337.07 lakhs in May-2017 to 11974.6 lakhs in June-2017.

During Jan-2017 to Jun-2017, Digital transactions were done in India by various modes like Debit card at PoS, M-Wallet (Mobile Wallets), NACH (National Automated Clearing House), NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer), CTS (Cheque Truncation System), Credit Cards, IMPS (Immediate Payment Service), AePS (Aadhaar Enabled Payment System) (including BHIM Aadhaar), NETC (National Electronic Toll Collection), UPI (Unified Payment Interface) (including BHIM) and USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data). The top 3 digital modes for digital transactions in India were Debit card at PoS, M-Wallet and NACH during Jan-2017 to Jun-2017.

Digital transactions were 3286.2 lakhs in India by Debit card at PoS mode during Jan-2017. It has decreased by -23.39% in Feb-2017 to 2517.5 lakhs over Jan-2017. Monthly de-growth of -4.8% has been seen in Digital transactions by Debit card at PoS mode in India from 2675.1 lakhs in May-2017 to 2546.6 lakhs in Jun-2017. Digital transactions were 2616.7 lakhs in India by M-Wallet mode during Jan-2017. It has decreased by -5.63% in Feb-2017 to 2469.5 lakhs over Jan-2017. Monthly decline of -8.31% has been seen in Digital transactions by M-Wallet mode in India from 2417.2 lakhs in May-2017 to 2216.3 lakhs in Jun-2017. Digital transactions were 1668.2 lakhs in India by NACH mode during Jan-2017. It has decreased by -4.86% in Feb-2017 to 1587.1 lakhs over Jan-2017. Monthly growth of 1.84% has been seen in Digital transactions by NACH mode in India from 2040.3 lakhs in May-2017 to 2077.9 lakhs in Jun-2017.

Maximum monthly digital transaction of 3286.2 lakhs recorded in Jan-2017 and minimum monthly digital transaction of 2517.5 lakhs recorded in Feb-2017 through Debit card at PoS mode during the period from Jan-2017 to Jun-2017. Maximum monthly digital transaction of 3208.7 lakhs recorded in Apr-2017 and minimum monthly digital transaction of 2216.3 lakhs recorded in Jun-2017 through M-Wallet mode during the period from Jan-2017 to Jun-2017. Maximum monthly digital transaction of 2221.7 lakhs recorded in Apr-2017 and minimum monthly digital transaction of 1587.1 lakhs recorded in Feb-2017 through NACH mode during the period from Jan-2017 to Jun-2017.
